003: Who Are You Trying To Please?

“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” - Galatians 1.10

Paul just gets right to it here doesn’t he?

‘If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” That’s like a verbal punch straight to the gut and yet, how many of us consistently worry about pleasing other people?

I could yammer on for way too long but I think this one is best left short. Pleasing man at the expense of pleasing God is a recipe for sorrow. Pleasing God is not only our duty but it also happens to be a great recipe for joy. So let’s do ourselves a favor today and choose joy over sorrow.
