010: Stronger Together

'And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him— a threefold cord is not quickly broken. ' - Ecclesiastes 4:12

When things get hard, or I get sad, I tend to isolate myself. I figure that I’m better off alone and that no one else wants to deal with my baggage or my emotions. The fact of the matter is, however, that friends do care. Friends want to help shoulder the burden, friends aren’t scared of the baggage.

This verse is a reminder to me of the strength that only comes from friendship. Alone I will fall. Strengthened by my friends, I can thrive…we all can thrive. Today, I’m thankful for the friends in my life who have not let me isolate myself during this period of my life where all I have wanted to do is disappear.
