A Blessing

In preparing for Episode 3 of The Master Class I came across this passage in Numbers:

The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. - Numbers 6:24-26

It is often easy for me, and therefore I assume others as well, to forget that God does want to bless me and be gracious to me. It's hard to remember this when I'm so focused on trying earn my righteousness.

The goal for this weekend is to remind myself that God sees me as he sees Christ. Not because I earned it, or because I try hard, but because of his choice to give me that righteousness. It truly is a blessing.
