App Review: Mextures
I love Mextures. Ok, I got that out of the way. Now on to the completely unbiased review.
Mextures offers a wonderful amount of editing options for your photographs. Everything from Light Leaks to Vintage Gradients, all adjustable to various levels, rotations and blending modes. This last option, blending modes, is really where you can make some magic happen.
On top of these options Mextures also offers the ability to layer multiple effects. This option creates exponential possibilities for your mobile photography.
When you arrive at the desired outcome for your photo Mextures allows you to export to all the big boys.
Another fantastic feature of Mextures is 'formulas'. Formulas are pre-packaged combinations of effects that you can apply to any of your photos. So if you create a complex combination of layers and effects that you want to replicate, you can save it as a formula. So cool. What's even cooler is that Mextures provides access to formulas created by professional photographers.
I've enjoyed the support and updates to Mextures, including the Summer formulas. I'm expecting a continued level of excellent support.
If you're in need of some inspiration to help those creative juices flow then Mexutres has you covered via their 'Inspiration' page.
Here you can check out some of the fantastic art that others have made using Mextures. Somedays it's just nice to know that there are other people who are creating beautiful art. I know it helps me to know that there are people out there dedicated to sharing the beauty of the world we live in, even in the midst of all the crap we endure.
All in all Mextures is a fantastic app that gives you the tools to take your photography to places otherwise unattainable.
Who out there has experience with Mextures? Any tricks you'd care to share?
