Familiar Name, New Direction
Something New and Old
If you've been around this blog since its inception you'll recognize the 'new' name, aNewGravity. I came up with this name about 2 years ago and stuck with it for awhile but as the content of the blog began to become more and more unfocused I felt the need to remove this name and try something new.
Recently I had felt the urge to finally give this blog a renewed focus; enough random posts, I want to offer some consistent direction with this space. So with that desire came the decision to pull this name out of the grave and bring it back to life.
aNewGravity is all about recognizing what truly matters in life. What is true, what is real, and what is right. It's about understanding that as Christians we live under a different authority than the rest of the world.
So it is with great excitement that we start this blog anew. The new focus will be on the Church, Theology and Culture; the uniqueness of each as well as the interplay between them all. It's essentially a blog about the Christian life as we learn to contextualize our faith and live in a society that is increasingly hostile towards Christianity and God.
What You Can Expect
A minimum of three posts per week:
Monday = Church
Wednesday = Theology
Friday = Culture.
I think this rubric will provide the structure and focus that I need and will provide you, the reader, with a set expectation for content.
It is my hope that as this new focus continues in the coming weeks and months that we can begin to have some meaningful discussions via the comments and guest posts about what it means to be a Christian in America today. You will not agree with everything I have to say, and that's a good thing. I'm not always right, I've been wrong before and I will be wrong again. So if you disagree with something I say, let me know. 'As iron sharpens iron' right?
I'm excited. I hope you are too.
