Following A Pipe Dream
I just realized that I haven't blogged in over 2 months and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I know that podcasting has been a great outlet for my thougts lately but I never thought I would get away from writing like I have in the last 3 months. I'm disappointed in myself.
There was a time when I would blog very regularly but I had a job that lent itself to allowing me to do so. Now I work in a fairly locked down situation where I am constantly dealing with customers or putting out fires for my staff. Things have changed for me recently and I don't like it.
Don't worry, this isn't a post where I throw a self-pity party. I'm just saying, my current job does not exaclty bring the creativity out of me like I would hope. It's a typical corporate job where compliance and efficiency are valued over pretty much everything else.
But the locked down nature of my employment has not prevented me from dreaming. I've been hard at work over the past few months scheming and planning. I may have stopped writing here for a bit but I have not been asleep at the wheel. In just a few weeks I will officially launch my brand new Podcast Network, Super Mega Corp.
This has been a dream of mine ever since I started The Master Class with my good friend Dave, just over a year ago. What started as a pipe dream of becoming a podcaster has now turned into becoming the owner of an entire podcast network. To be fair, our audience is small, but that doesn't bother me. In fact, I welcome the small audience because it allows us to continue to work out kinks, find our voice, and perfect what we are all still very new at.
So, with that said, I am extremely excited to present the first round of our new shows to you:
All Things Neat, hosted by me, is a bi-weekly look into the things that intrigue our minds and capture our imagination. From the simple to the complex, this show seeks to provide you with a fun look into the world of neat things all around us.
In Review is a bi-weekly show, hosted by me, that introduces, explains, and walks the listener through a single, great app each episode. We’ll cover the basics of each app and then dive into the deep end, so that you can get the most out of your devices. If you’ve got an iPhone, iPad, or Mac and you want to use them more effectively, this show is for you.
It’s A Trap!, is a monthly show, co-hosted by Dave Hogue and me, that focuses on great movie characters. Each episode is dedicated to a specific character, so grab some popcorn, watch each film, and then join us in a lively discussion of what makes these characters so memorable.
Mendoza Line is a weekly show dedicated to the world of Baseball. No topic is left unturned as Baseball connoisseur and host Nick Coats leads me on a thrill ride through statistics, news, fantasy baseball tips, and all of the other things that make Baseball so fascinating.
The Master Class is a weekly show, co-hosted by Dave Hogue and me, about what Jesus said, and did, and why it matters today. We’re a couple of ex-youth pastors who still have the itch to dissect and discuss scripture and we’d love for you to join the conversation.
These shows will debut in mid, to late February. I am excited and a bit nervous to see how this goes. I've bitten off quite a bit with this but I'm confident that with continued hard work, dedication, and the help of my fantasic co-hosts, we will be able to pull this off.
If you'd like to know exactly when the network will go live be sure to follow me on Twitter. This is also a great place to send any feedback, suggestions, or requests. That's it for now. Stay tuned!
