God Does Not Waver

The past few months have been a very present reminder that I have to persevere. Life is not easy, growing up is challenging, and things don’t go the way I want them to sometimes. None of this, however, changes God or his goodness. God never promised an easy life, he told us that maturing is a challenge (remember that whole iron sharpens iron thing, or better yet purifying us like gold in a fire…ouch), and things don’t go our way sometimes because we are not in control, he is.

I’m writing this as a reminder to myself that God is the same on good days and bad days. His goodness does not vary and his power is not subject to my moods. He is God, he is sovereign, he is in control…I am none of these things.
