He's a healer

I've been preparing for my lesson this Sunday and in doing so I've been reading through the Gospels and making note of all the times Jesus healed somebody.  Let's just put it this way...he healed a LOT of people of a lot of different issues.  He healed the lame, blind, deaf, mute, and leprous.  Think about that for a second, he healed multitudes of people of all kinds of physical sicknesses.  His power over the physical is clearly shown when you look at who and what he healed.  Add to this his miracles such as raising Lazarus from the dead, cursing the fig tree, turning water into wine, feeding the 5000, and calming the storm on the sea and you begin to see that Jesus was and is capable to control the physical realm. How often do we think of Jesus this way?  Do we not so often make him this distant rule giver, who has no real power in the here-and-now?  It's time we awoke to the fact that Jesus is AWESOME and that he has the power to affect our lives every second of every day.
