The Bible in 1 Picture

This picture is a visual representation of over 63,000 cross references in the Bible.

63,000!!

I showed this to the Bible 101 Sunday school class I'm teaching the other week and thought I'd share it with you as well.

It is fascinating to me how 1 book written by many people, over the course of hundreds and hundreds of years could be so integrated and connected.

But I suppose that's how God likes to work...bigger than we expect or can imagine.

The white and gray vertical bars at the bottom of the pic represent chapters in the Bible, the longer the bar the more verses in the chapter.  So that huge on near the middle is Psalm 119.

The alternating colors of groups of bars represent each book of the Bible.  So Genesis is the first group of gray and Exodus is the next group, this time white, and so on.

Have fun investigating this picture, there's a lot to see! (PS. If you click on the picture it will take you to a MUCH bigger version)
