Throwback Post #10 - The Experiment
Awhile back I heard the phrase 'scientists don't fail, they experiment'. And while this may not be 100% accurate, I do think that the idea behind the statement is transferrable to many areas of life.
Often times people don't change, don't chase their dreams, don't do something new because they are afraid of failing. Fear of failure can keep us locked up and prevent us from discovering the joy of doing new, creative, epic things.
What would it look like in your life to be ok with failing, to not let potential failure stop you from potential success? Would you feel more free to be the you God created you to be?
In ministry how can adopting this 'experiment' based thinking help? Would it allow us the freedom to try new things, to break the 'we've always done it this way' mold?
In our marriages, would this allow us the freedom to get out of the rut we feel like we're in? Could it re-energize or re-awaken the joy of pursuing our spouse?
YES!
Take a few minutes and think how this might change your perspective in these areas and others. What would not being afraid of failure look like in your life? How would that free you?
